In the fall/winter of 2011, my family will be  returning for an extended stay (up to 3 months) so that I can resume a project with the Missionaries of the Poor.  We ask for your prayers as our family of 10–which will become a family of 11 while we’re there–accepts the invitation to return to Jamaica.

Is this a mission trip to which others will be invited? I have a 19 year old son who is seeking mission work. He has recently come home from 1-1/2 years of seminary and is trying to discern his vocation.

Your son can schedule a visit with the MOP any time. I’d be happy to help you do so. He would be able to visit while we are there, but perhaps not during Christmastide when no other visitors are allowed.

Yes, I looked at the website for MOP (my son is out of town, currently). It looks like they are brothers, but my son thinks he wants to be a priest. Do you know if they form priests, as well?

Thanks,
Eve

P.S. Blessings on your family, as well. We are also expecting our 9th child next month… but I’m grateful to be having him the the good-ole USA! Much admiration for your family!
